We will not be in session this Thursday, March 12th. We will be honoring a fellow Brave, Mrs. Mary Helen Strong. Her service will be in our gymnasium at 2:30. We will be back in session Friday. We will be giving out our Student of the Month awards Friday at morning meeting. Parents of those students have been notified. Spring Break will be the following week, March 16-20. We will be in session on March 27th to make up for the day missed this week.

Her service will be at 2:30 in our gymnasium. Our archery team participating at ORES state will meet at 10:00 Thursday morning to leave for Shawnee.
The Boy's and Girl's Club notified the school, they will be open again starting today, March 4th.
The Boy's and Girl's club reached out to the school and they are closed due to several staff members being out due to illness. They do not know at this time when they will return.
Due to unforseen circumstances, the archery team going to the meet at Krebs has been canceled and archery practice today is canceled.
We are having an issue with one of our buses. Mr. Cochran will be running both routes so bus times will be a little later than usual.

If your child is not at school today, you will need to report to the parent pickup line at 3:10 to pick up virtual school work packet. This will be the work required for each student as needed for inclement weather and probable school closing.
We will be in session, tomorrow, January 23rd. We will be sending home work packets to prepare for incoming winter weather. We will keep you updated on Facebook, local news stations and our school messaging system for any updates concerning school closings.
Archery practice has been canceled tomorrow, October 29th.
The 5th-8th Grade Track meet will be @Moseley Tuesday, April 8th. Bus will leave at 8:15. The 5th-8th grade students will also attend the Conference track meet @Wickliffe on April 10th. Bus leaves at 8:45. The Kenwood track meet has not been rescheduled and they will notify if and when they do. We will pass that information on to parents as we are notified.
Due to mechanical issues, our afternoon bus route will be later than usual. One bus is running both routes.
The track meet scheduled in Wickliffe today for grades 1st through 4th will be canceled due to grass fires in the area.
There has been a bomb threat at Kansas High School and the sheriff department has asked us to go on a soft lockdown. Leach Public schools is on lockdown in place, the teachers are continuing to teach. The students will only be allowed to move around with direct supervision. We have extra officers on campus.
Just a reminder for 1st and 2nd grade basketball players: Parents will be responsible for transporting their players to and from the game tomorrow afternoon, February 27th, at Wickliffe. The cost for students (not players) and Sr. Citizens is $1 and Adults are $2. Girls play at 5:00 and boys play at 5:30.
